Teachings for you and your horse

For me, riding is a conversation between rider and the horse. Learning how to make that conversation clear, loving, inspiring, fun and rewarding, will totally change the way we can reach our goals, and at the same time really enjoy the journey together with our best friends and companions.

As a professional riding coach and horse trainer, for me the welfare of the horse and rider is always a priority. In all levels. I am interested in finding the actual causes for the challenges and problems that the rider may face with her/his horse. There is always a root cause that will affect in many areas. And by solving these real underlying issues, the rider and horse can solve many other problems on their way.

Lessons for every level

I have run my own horse center and I am educated as a riding coach by The Equestrian Federation of Finland. I have participated in many competitions, from young horse classes to competing at Finnish national team championship level. I know how important it can be to go towards your goals, also as a competitive athlete. At the same time, I also know that it is totally possible to practice horse friendly training, which is a lot more efficient than pushing limits too much and too often.

When you learn to work with your horse in this way, your horse has a really good motivation for training. You will also unlock so much more potential in your horse!

Who will benefit from my teachings?

I teach riders and horses in all levels. If you want to learn to teach your horse to be really motivated and improve your communication skills with your horse, I am the right teacher for you. Your goals with the horse can be from beginner hobby level to high level competitions.

In all levels, building the working relationship between rider and the horse is the key to success.

I also ride and train customer´s horses. Sometimes it is very helpful that I first teach new exercises to the horse, and then teach the rider, so you can do the same together.

What will you get in my lessons?

Both you and your horse will be seen as an individual.
You learn to improve your communication skills with your horse, and building a good working relationship between you and the horse.
We use multiple training methods to improve the skills of the rider and the horse.
You will understand where the small or big challenges between you and your horse comes from, and you will learn to solve them.
You will rise to new levels as a rider and learn how to teach your horse to be really motivated when working together with you.
We will do exercises to build a bond and understanding between you and the horse.
We make a training plan together on how to achieve your goals. If you want, we can also include an individual training plan for you to improve your physical and mental strengths as a rider.
We can also use groundwork training techniques if needed.
You will get homework with exercises and clear steps until your next lesson.

You can book private lesson or training for your horse. Also, horse training and riding lessons combination is very popular and efficient if you want to have multilevel help on your journey with your horse.

Teaching the rider and training the horse combination (60 min) is the preferred choice of many riders. Why?

When I ride the horse myself, I will receive a lot of information about the horse. I will use multiple exercises to figure out what the horse can understand at the moment, whether the horse has some issues or challenges in the body or perhaps some old traumas that still effects learning ability, and the way the horse uses his body. This way I will figure out exactly what kind of training the horse needs at the moment.

I teach new helpful exercises to the horse. As I am coaching the rider as well, I will choose exercises that are suitable for both horse and rider.

When I ride and train your horse, I will have much more information about what we need to focus on during the riding lesson. For example, sometimes I will notice that the best for the horse and rider is to focus on the riders's body balance. Or I can teach the rider more technical exercises to build the horse's strength and balance. Another example could be to teach the rider to be more relaxed if the horse is very tense.

My focus is always assisting the horse and the rider on their unique journey so they can move faster towards their goals and lift them as a team to new levels.

The combination of teaching the rider and training the horse is a very efficient way to increase your communication with your horse. You and your horse will achieve both good motivation for riding, have a clear plan and really learn to enjoy the journey with a lot of love and joy.
